Connie Pilo Pais, our Ecuadorian club member, will guide us to discover her country, its geography, culture, people, traditions, resources, music, food, handicrafts, flora, fauna, and much more. Come and be part of this beautiful journey!
About the speaker: Connie was born in Quito, Ecuador. She is a CPA and a Certified Auditor. She got married 30 years ago and due to her husband´s job she has travelled a lot. She lived in Geneva, Switzerland for 6 years. During this time, she raised two beautiful children while volunteering to present social projects to different organizations in order to fundraise for non-profit organizations in Ecuador. In 2005, her husband was transferred to the Ecuadorian Embassy in Washington, DC, where Connie worked as a part-time Spanish teacher and she also formed part of “THIS for Diplomats” group. After 5 years, she returned to Ecuador to her previous job and later became a Finance Manager of a construction company. In 2014, they moved again to Geneva for 6 years and she became part of United Nations Women´s Guild association where she volunteered actively as a Spanish teacher, formed part of the Lottery Team, and prepared the Ecuadorian Stall for the United Nations Annual Bazaar. Furthermore, she actively participated in the “Foundation pour Genève organization”. In 2020, she returned to Ecuador and volunteered at the Diplomatic Spouses Association. In April 2023, they were transferred to Milan and she immediately became a member of Benvenuto Club of Milano.We are very thankful that such a busy and precious woman like Connie dedicates a part of her time to us Benvenuto members!
