Community Service
Each year the club pledges proceeds from its fundraising activities to charities chosen by a committee of members.
For our 2023-2024 Benvenuto season the chosen charities are:
PORTOFRANCO
Every year around 120 teachers and 300 university students provide help to nearly 2,000 students, who are offered 20,000 hours of one-to-one lessons completely free of charge. A commitment that has inestimable social and human value, promotes integration and prevents early school leaving. It is an effort that deserves to be supported: providing many young people with support at decisive moments of their lives.
ASSOCIAZIONE LE VELE ONLUS
Le Vele implements support programs for foster families and children in foster care, for children and young people with disabilities as well as for children and families in difficult life circumstances who are experiencing poverty, disadvantage and social isolation and who need help and assistance. Le Vele uses its structure at Cascina Solidale in Pioltello (MI) as a day care facility for children belonging to weak social groups and as a professional education and training center for young people with disabilities and coming from social hardship. Several protected apartments at the Cascina are provided to families and people in difficulty as temporary accommodation.

CBM ITALIA CBM
CBM Italia is a humanitarian organisation committed to preventing and treating blindness and avoidable disability, as well as to the inclusion of persons with disabilities in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Italy. Over 1 billion persons throughout the world have a disability (about 15% of the global population); of these, 80% live in developing countries. A vicious circle links disability and poverty. CBM wants to break this cycle by working together with the communities on projects that promote health, education and independent living.
