Vegetarian delights: a fusion of Indian and Middle
Eastern cuisine in a social dining experience
Join us for an evening of vegetarian cuisine with
exotic flavors, mingle with fellow food enthusiasts,
and embark on a culinary adventure like no other at
Mumba’s Vegetarian Supper Club.
SUPPER CLUB
This isn’t your typical cooking class or a dinner at
a restaurant; it’s an intimate gathering hosted by
Kiran, a friend of
Benvenuto, who has
created a unique
dining experience
through her
vegetarian supper
club.
But what exactly
is a supper club?
It’s a social dining
experience where
passionate hosts
like Kiran open
their homes or
private spaces to
guests for a unique
culinary event.
These gatherings go beyond traditional restaurant
settings, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy
home-cooked meals, interact with the host and
fellow diners, and explore new flavors in a cozy and
intimate atmosphere.
For this occasion, you will be dining with a group
(maximum eight) of Benvenuto members at her home
in the Porta Venezia area.
THE CHEF
Kiran Vajpey, born and raised in Bombay, developed
a passion for vegetarian cuisine under her mother’s
guidance. After a successful career in fashion, she
sought a fresh start in Milan, where she combined her
Indian roots with her multicultural family’s tastes to
create vibrant, flavorful dishes.
THE MENU
The delicious menu is inspired by Indian and Middle
Eastern influences. You can expect an array of vibrant
and flavorful dishes that celebrate the diversity and
creativity of vegetarian cooking. The evening’s menu
features:
TO START
Popped lotus seeds – salt and pepper
Marinated olives – lemon, sumac and harissa
APPETISER
Home made
hummus – Cumin,
curry leaves and pine
nut
Whipped tahini
with green shatta –
Jalapeño, coriander
and vinegar
Muhammra – Red
pepper, garlic and
pomegranate molasses
Very smoky
babaganoush – Aubergine, tahini and garlic
***All served with flat bread
MAINS
Max’s Mezze – oven roasted zucchini and aubergines
with yoghurt tahini and mixed herbs
Three citrus salad – three citruses tossed in a sweet and
spicy dressing
Persian inspired rice – saffron, orange, almonds and
sour cherries
Beetroot borani – beetroot, yoghurt and mint
DESSERT
Pavlova with lime curd, mixed berries and charmagaz
(melon seeds)
Indulge in an evening of exquisite vegetarian cuisine
in a cozy atmosphere with Benvenuto friends.
